off the subject which is out of my reach.... you perfectly demonstrated!

"Usage becomes grammar", as late W. Saf. used to say. I also am not a stickler for согласование времен. Who cares! What attracts me to your peculiar and unique and intricate sentence structure is something like nostalgia? Dunno!
Second, "You formed opinions about my opinion and debated these opinions." - this is a perfect summary of what all of us are doing here.
This is the sort of English up with which I will not put

You know, if the Torah has survived three thousand years of such penetrative analysis and still makes sense to some of us, it can't be anything else than Divine revelation...

Date: 2010-07-20 12:26 am (UTC)I am an atheist - a quiet, little one, but a rather unshakeable case - however am also a Jew with some major allegiances including the Torah. So what if it does not make sense to me - maybe I am just stupid. Or maybe I am irked at the role the modern interpreters of the Torah leave for the women. Or maybe I am even more irked at a guitar-playing constructivist woman-rabbi in a talles and a kippah? Who knows.
