avvaЯ попытался подобрать две обстоятельные статьи, с двух противоположных точек зрения освещающие недавние события в США (демонстрации в Сан-Франциско и Беркли, в которых собралось намного больше контр-демонстрантов, чем самих правых демонстрантов, и где "антифа" в черных костюмах и масках преследовали демонстрантов и в некоторых случаях избивали их).
1. Why The Media Refuses To Understand Antifa ("While establishment pundits fret over civility, the antifascist movement in America is working for peace").
Основные тезисы автора: пресса преувеличивает насилие со стороны антифа и преуменьшает угрозу со стороны нацистов, в Шарлотсвиле антифа защитили всех остальных контр-демонстрантов от избиения нацистами, только благодаря антифа все остальные демонстранты против нацизма чувствуют себя в безопасности, и для того, чтобы задушить в зародыше небольшое пока движение организованного нацизма/фашизма, нужно поддерживать антифа и помогать им еще больше и лучше делать то, что у них так хорошо получается.

While the pundits and right-wing politicians spin themselves into a tizzy over black masks, antifascists are winning credibility, building alliances, and earning the admiration of everyday people. A Lutheran parish administrator named Logan Rimel summed up his experience: "White Christians, if you aren't willing to personally take a bat to the head, shut up about antifa."
2. A Beating in Berkeley
Автор сопровождал Джоуи Гибсона, организатора правой демонстрации в Сан-Франциско, и присутствовал при том, как антифа атаковали его и других демонстрантов. Он подробно рассказывает о тех правых активистах, которых он сопровождал, и описывает происходящее.

There’s the gray-haired interdenominational “Choral Majority” singing peace songs: “There’s no hatred in my land / Where I’m bound.” I want to vomit on the Berkeley Peace Wall.
