Ничего особенного, на самом деле; просто меня развеселило мудрое замечание из комментариев в веблоге Making Light:

"I always found it funny that when the Silmaril gets to Doriath the sons of Feanor are all over it, and again when it's taken to Arvernien, but they never even considered taking it off Luthien during the 50 years or so that she wore it. Sure, they'll pursue with vengeance and hatred to the ends of the world, etc.--but they're not that stupid."
