It is shameful that, in countries where, like in Europe, you can bump off an old lady, torture your fellow man, mutilate him, and know that your crime, like all violent crimes, will be commuted after 10 or 15 years, everybody acts as if Polanski's crime should be immune to any possibility of commutation."

Мое собственное мнение не изменилось с тех пор, как я прочитал транскрипт свидетельства Саманты Геймер.

После чтения траскрипта Геймер особенно выпукло звучат слова самого Полански об этом событии:

Вообще: "Judges want to fuck young girls. Juries want to fuck young girls. Everyone wants to fuck young girls!"

И в частности: "She wasn't unresponsive."

Надеюсь, что последнюю фразу употребят при описании его нынешних неприятностей, скажем "при аресте Polanski wasn't unresponsive", "перед судьей Polanski wasn't unresponsive", etc.

PS Если бы ей было 18, мое отношение было тем же.
