о моральном уродстве Тель-Авива

zdenka, с которой я лично не знаком, но рисунки которой мне очень нравятся (см. её журнал), недавно сообщила, что 31-го декабря открывается её выставка в галерее в Тель-Авиве. Я за неё порадовался, прочитав это, и решил, что постараюсь съездить в Тель-Авив и посмотреть.
Но не тут-то было! Сегодня в кафе, листая газету, я случайно обнаружил заметку о юзершеzdenka и о том, что член городского совета Тель-Авива требует запретить её выставку за якобы антисемитские её мотивы (!!!).
По-моему, это в очередной раз подтверждает уродство и уродливость города и места Тель-Авива во всех смыслах

Теперь я точно пойду на выставку, если уроды её не запретят. И желаю удачиzdenka в борьбе с умственно ограниченными политиками -- а ещё лучше, чтобы такая борьба не понадобилась.

Councilwoman protests exhibit featuring anti-Semitic images
A Tel Aviv city councilwoman has asked Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai and the attorney-general to ban an exhibition due to open next Tuesday at the city's Rosenfeld Gallery, which she claims is anti-Semitic.
Items allegedly found in "Judaica Collection" include a Seder plate featuring hte picture of a boy tied up and drops of blood, and a Holocaust-style yellow star turned into a piece of jewelry.
Also featured are pictures of traditional synagogue signs indicating east, decorated with animals with anti-Semitic-style Jewish faces, councilwoman Liora Minka said.
The exhibition is the word of Zoya Cherkaski, 26, who immirated from Russian at age 14, and who has had a show at the Israel Museum.
"The exhibit deals with the connection between Judaica and anti-Semitism", said exhibit curator Diana Dallal. "Zoya is a well-respected and talented artist, and if she decided to make such works, this says something about us at this time."
Minka, however, said the exhibit was scandalous. "With all of my understanding for freedom of expression, and all the tolerance I show for any other kind of art, there is a limit to bad taste," she said.
"It is inconceivable and illogical that the authorities and the local and national government allow the presentation and sale of these debased and bizarre works in a Jewish city, by an artist who gets her inspiration from anti-Semitism."
The exhibit is also due to be presented at two German museums. The exhibit reportedly also features statuettes for sale of a completely naked haredi Jew with a beard and sidelocks.
