Прочитал любопытную загадку для любителей истории и географии:

У какой страны суверенные границы не менялись дольше всех?

(если есть оспариваемые с другой страной территории, это считается нестабильными границами)

For nearly the entire duration of the war the neutrality was respected transforming the Republic into a refuge state for many of the surrounding habitants. More than a hundred thousand people sought refuge in San Marino, these included a group of Jewish people, thus saving them from the concentration camps. The refugees were looked after in the palaces, churches, train stations and any other places that could serve as a refuge. For a population of not even fifteen thousand it was quite a difficult job to find enough food and supplies for so many people, it involved much hard work which was undertaken withouta momen ts hesitation.

What's your point? A "strong drop in autonomy" does not equal loss of statehood.

Если так, то по-любому "Cardinal Giulio Alberoni, the pontifical legate to Romagna, took advantage of a hollow pretext to take possession of the territory under the rule of the Republic on October 17, 1739." уменьшает срок наличия суверенных границ Сан-Марино до 265-ти лет.

A severe political and economic crisis culminated in 1739 with the so-called Alberoni occupation. Cardinal Giulio Alberoni, the pontifical legate to Romagna, took advantage of a hollow pretext to take possession of the territory under the rule of the Republic on October 17, 1739. On February 5, 1740 San Marino reclaimed its independence from the Church, and even today this date is commemorated in the celebration of the feast of Sant'Agata (the co-patron saint of the Republic).

Train station? Где в Сан-Марино может поместиться железнодорожная станция?

Сан Марино занимает всю окрестность Монте Титано, не только саму гору.
