А знаете ли вы, что небезызвестный Ахмед Халаби по образованию математик? Я не знал.

Математики могут даже вместо числа Эрдёша посчитать своё число Халаби.

It's Chalabi with ch as in English. It's written with j in Arabic because Arabic doesn't have a letter for ch, but that sound exists in the Iraqi dialect. I believe the name means 'businessman' but the word also has or used to have the connotation 'gentleman'; there's a saying in Arabic "Halabi -- chalabi": 'People from Aleppo are gentlemen.'
