В этой книге автор исследует сохранившиеся копии первых изданий De revolutionibus Коперника и пытается проследить как можно более подробно, кто их читал, кто писал заметки на полях, как распостранялось её влияние. Я её не читал, но наткнулся на рекомендацию, и, судя по отзывам на Амазоне, должна быть очень интересной. Узелок себе на память, прочитать.

"Bruce rested his chin in his hand, elbow on the desk." This paints a vivid picture of a man sitting at a table with is head resting on his hand. The author uses many of these descriptions in his writing. This quote also shows how the author can paint pictures in the readers mind. "Stanton Bailey gripped the armrests of his big chair and rocked back, studying Buck Williams." When I read that, I got a image in my mind that was exactly what it said. It was of a guy sitting back in a big chair holding onto the armrests.

Какое-то время назад было сообщение, что Weaver в очень тяжёлом состоянии лежит в больнице. Чем там закончилось, увы, не знаю.

Меня тоже Weaver вполне устраивал, и даже более того, его английские переводы нравились больше всех русских.
