Of course, since the ad talks about growth in numbers of the PCs, it is neither logarithmic nor exponential growth. It, rather, follows the standard ecological rule by Verhulst for the population growth (just like any other technology adoption, by the way), i.e. the logistic (sigmoid) function, often called "S-curve".
