В небольшой заметке о недавно умершем писателе Иване Шевцове, известном главным образом как автор антисемитского романа "Тля", позабавила концовка:

"Его произведения [такие-то и такие-то] пользовались неслыханной популярностью. А «Тлю» и сейчас практически невозможно достать."

Подумал, как я отвык от этого - когда книгу "невозможно достать" означает, что она очень популярна...

Самое интересное, что тот самый Владимир Папёрный по сути согласился с советской оценкой абстрактного искусства как идеологической диверсии:

"Abstract canvasses became a new kind of poisonous blankets. Instead of smallpox or cholera, they were infected with poisonous ideology. Jackson Pollock, Jack Masey, Charles and Ray Eames, George Nelson, Buckminster Fuller, as well as the young Russian artists trying to jump the fence at the exhibition, perhaps had no idea of the war that was going on above their heads. But it was. And once again, the poisonous blankets worked brilliantly."
