Tim Bray считает, что положение на рынке браузеров ещё изменится, и Эксплорер потеряет свою монопольную (де-факто) позицию: The Door Is Ajar.

There's not enough technical differentiation and innovation in non-MS browsers to bring about The Change, old-time Netscape people have been preaching this for long time.
The browsing experience didn't get any major change in last 4 years.
The 'faster and better' prayer is just not enough to break Microsoft's bundling advantage, there's too much capacity in desktop computers and network anyway.
If there's any reason that I see for massive rush to non-IE browsers, it's the corporate desire to cut down desktop maintenance costs.
