Вот опрос между прочим, среди британских мусульман:

- Каждый четвёртый симпатизирует мотивам террористов.

- 6% считают, что взрывы были полностью оправданными. Эти 6% - на минуточку, 100 тысяч британских мусульман.

- Треть британских мусульман считает, что "Western society is decadent and immoral and that Muslims should seek to bring it to an end".

Такие вот дела.

Well, you might want to read about the Valerie Plame/Joseph Wilson affair, the OSP (http://www.motherjones.com/news/feature/2004/01/12_405.html) and other related issues.

Iraq, as I remember, tried to comply with the above-mentioned resolution - but then the US went ahead with a plan to attack it anyway. Much in agreement with the general PNAC (http://www.newamericancentury.org/) view of the world.

Well, I remember differently. In Feb.2003 only Russia, France and China among the UN SC members thought that Iraq might need more time to comply; and only France threatened to veto the UN decision to go to war. The rest thought that enough time had already been granted.

I may be able to dispute that point, but for me as an American the happenings of (and within) the UN are of secondary importance. I have reason to believe that the US Administration has commited perjury by lying to the American people (and others, too). That is what's on my mind and what I think I am gonna' focus on.

Me as an American thinks that invasion of Iraq yields more for the national interest than invasion of Serbia.

What you are saying my be correct - but I think adherence to our laws is the key issue, not whether or not a momentary gain was achieved.
