pug, pug nose — (здесь) курносый нос (а также вздёрнутый? приплюснутый? не совсем понятно)
adroit — ловкий, находчивый, искусный
eyetooth (ах, хорошее слово!) — верхний клык (зуб-клык в верхней челюсти).
mien — манера держать себя; нечто среднее (или составное) между demeanor и appearance. Произносится meen.
bluff — (здесь) высокий откос, высокий крутой берег; может быть синонимом cliff, но обычно относится к берегу реки, моря итп.
puce — (произноситься пьюс) красновато-коричневый цвет (M-W, однако, говорит, что это просто dark red)
otter — выдра (обнаружено в этой смешной рецензии (англ., рекомендую, спасибо LanguageHat за ссылку) на плохой мемуар о жизни в клинике для наркоманов).
jonesing, jones — (сленг.) ломка, сильная тяга. Примеры использования: "I've got the jones for...", "I need something to stop the jonesing", "I'm jonesing for...".

otter: there's a lot about otters on the Amblonyx otter site (http://www.amblonyx.com/otter/index.htm) - they even have a page with otter poems (Heaney & Hughes) and otter tales. The word is etymologically the same as выдра; I had a small discussion (http://glosses.net/archives/000281.php) of this.

Thanks for reminding me that "mien" occurs in "The Raven"; I must've seen it there in the past, looked it up and neatly forgotten all about it. Oh well.

I keep trying to pronounce it as мьен in my head, it's positively horrible. meen meen meen meen meen meeeeeeeeeeeeen...
